Practice Times

These are the regular practice times. All practices at Central Municipal Pool. Check the announcements section on the the main page for cancellations and extra practices.  Use your browser's "refresh" button or press F5 to load the most recent changes.

Age Group 3:

  • Mon, Tue & Thu: 6:00 - 7:00 pm
  • Sat: 8:00 - 9:00 am

Age Group 2:

  • Mon - Thu: 6:15 - 7:45 pm
  • Fri: 4:00 - 6:00 pm or 6:30 - 7:30 pm
  • Sat: 7:00 - 9:00 am

Age Group 1:

  • Mon - Thu: 6:00 - 8:00 pm; Early Age Group 1 4:00 - 6:00 pm
  • Fri: 4:00 - 6:00 pm
  • Sat: 7:00 - 9:00 am

High School Group:

  • Mon - Thu: 4:00 - 5:30 pm
  • Fri: 4:00 - 6:00 pm
  • Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 5:00 - 7:00 am

Senior Group:

  • Mon - Thu: 4:00 - 6:30 pm
  • Fri: 4:00 - 6:00 pm
  • Tue, Thu: 5:00 - 7:00 am
  • Sat: 7:00 - 10:00 am

Exceptions: On days when High School meets are held at the Bubble, some groups start practices later.

  • Feb 2: Seniors, High School, early Age Grp 1 begin 5:30pm; All other groups @ regular times.
  • Feb 3: Age Group 3 No practice; All other groups 6:00-8:00 pm.
  • Feb 9: No afternoon practice.

Equipment

Each Gator swimmer is expected to wear goggles during practice. As for additional equipment, the needs are different by training group and are as follows:

  • Senior - Goggles, Swim Cap (for anyone with long hair), Swimming Fins, pull buoy, kickboard (optional), hand paddles (see a coach purchasing)
  • Senior Prep - Goggles, Swim cap, Swimming Fins
  • Age Group 1 - Goggles, Swim cap, Swimming Fins
  • Age Group 2 - Goggles, Swim cap, Swimming Fins (optional)
  • Age Group 3 - Goggles, Swim cap, Swimming Fins (optional)

Videos

The Gator Coaching Staff is trying to make it easier for our swimmers and parents to understand the basic drills we do for each stroke. The drills and turns are briefly demonstrated by Coach Steve. There is normal speed and soon we will have it in slow motion. I hope this helps our Gator family and all those visitors to the website.
